Not doing so great so far this month in terms of writing poetry, but I’ve seen some incredible vistas in the past week in my travels, so I’m sad to say I don’t feel all that guilty!
Today’s poem is another haiku, inspired by my time here in Ireland.
Ireland
Emerald hills roll
Against sand and rock alike
Kissed by gentle rain
I wouldn’t feel guilty either! Writing you can do anywhere, but vacations are special!
True! Thought as a writer, I try to write wherever I am.
Lovely picture. I’m so jealous you’re in Ireland. Don’t sweat about not finding the time to write…just gather inspiration so that when you get home you’ll be able to write your pants off.
That’s the current plan. My grandfather even got me this gorgeous notebook with a side clasp and ribbon place marker, so I’m going to write down anything that comes to mind in that during my travels.
Love the haiku. Also, I’m super jealous you’re in Ireland!
Thanks! Haha, yeah, a lot of people have told me that… I totally understand why, though for me the best part is seeing my grandfather again after so long. 🙂
